I have a theory about who Arnold could be.
The picture of what was supposed to be Arnold showed a person that look like Ford’s father.
Could Arnold be Ford’s father?
We see Ford visiting “home” and we see that his father is a drinker I would guess is violent to.
Maybe was Ford’s father the creator of Westworld and what happened over 30 was that child or youth Ford was fed-up with his father drinking and violent so he killed him.

A lot of “Westworld” fans were on the same page as you, Ole, but I think episode 7 and the photograph Ford shoes Bernard really pointed us to believing Arnold might be someone else.
The hottest theory right now points to that photo, which shows the slightest outline of a third person. Bernard couldn’t see that person because, as we discovered in episode 7, hosts can’t see things that will hurt them.
