Battle Of King’ Landing Theory

Howdy Shat Crew!

This is Rob here from the murder mitten (Michigan). I’ve been listening since the Lost Boys (cry little sister anyone?). I just wanted to say that I enjoyed Big D’s analysis of the battle of Winterfell. Despite what some of the listeners think, I enjoyed it for what it was, a different and fun approach to the deep dive.

With that being said, the battle for Kings Landing is upon us. I’d like to get your thoughts on this idea that I had. Being that this is the final season and it has been all about callbacks to the previous seasons, I’d wonder if we will see Varys and Tyrion play a role in the upcoming battle? If you recall, it was Varys who gave Tyrion the layout of the sewers of King’s Landing before the Battle of Blackwater Bay. It would seem plausible that Varys still has little birds in Kings Landing. It would be a fitting approach to the season to have a small group of Unsullied led by Jon or Greyworm to wreak havoc in the city while the bulk of the forces battle outside the wall.

I really enjoyed the Shat universe and keep up the great work.
