Beyond the Wall Was Definitely a Trap By the Night King

Okay Guys,

I’m listening in my car and you guys now have me yelling at my radio! The whole fiasco that happened beyond the wall was definitely a trap by the Night King. Consider the evidence:

  1. A small group of wights happens to be hanging out alone in a canyon where the only way out is onto the frozen lake.
  2. Conveniently, all but ONE of them was raised by the White Walker in the group.
  3. The walkers let Gendry go without even attempting to catch him, even though I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be that hard. At least the walkers remembered to bring horses.
  4. The walkers all just stand there waiting for at least a day (although I felt like it was actually a few days) watching as the bait was caught in the trap.
  5. Literally moments before Dany arrives with the dragons, they decide to attack.
  6. They just happened to have a shitload of giant dragon-rated chains with them.

If one or two of these happened, okay. But this is all way too much to be coincidence.

So what does this mean? Possibility 1: Bran really is the Night King and knows Jon’s plan and that Dany will come to save him. I’m not sold on this one yet. Possibility 2: When the Night King marked Bran, he “connected” with him a la Voldemort and Harry. He now knows what Bran knows and sees what Bran sees (i.e. everything). This could explain why Bran is being so antisocial. He thinks if he separates himself from everyone, maybe he can hide their plans from the Night King. Or, more likely, Bran is just a douche.
