Having a live-in god explains how Angela survived the White Night. In her flashback we see her get shot in the belly by the second Kalvaryman. He’s standing over her and it doesn’t look good, then fade to black, curtains. She wakes up in the hospital bed, and when she asks Judd about Cal, Judd gives a tense “He’s fine” answer. My guess is that Calhattan goes all bluey gooey on the Kalvaryman and this reveals to Judd the truth about Cals and Gods. This is probably what leads to Keene’s Manhattan Transfer plan.
