Why is nameday so important? Because babies weren’t named until enough time passed after they were born- because infant mortality was really high. So that is the reason why show Robert and Cersei’s black haired baby didn’t count against the prophesy. If the child does not live long enough to be named- you can’t compare it to today’s convention of people naming babies before or when they are born.
