Dear Shat hosts:

Thanks for reading all of our tin foily emails. Dunno how you do it.

I found the LED lightbulb looking host brain thing perplexing. Why have the golf ball/chestnut/control unit be encased in the LED lightbulb? Why don’t we just use the chestnut all by itself? Why spend time and money to design the casing? Well, Phase Space may have provided the answer: the LED lightbulb housing can be used to hide the color of the chestnut.

We learned in previous episodes that the human/host hybrid chestnut is red. They seem to go into red LED lightbulb casings/red velvet cupcakes. Seems to me you can put a red chestnut in a white LED lightbulb and nobody would guess that you have a hybrid.

In Phase Space, Elsie and Bernard enter the cradle. In that scene, Bernard flashes back and forth between his time with Elsie in the cradle and the past when he ostensibly put Ford’s red chestnut in the cradle. So when the chestnut is removed from Bernard, you can see it is black.

Conjecture:
The above indicates that Bernard was Bernard and not an Arnold hybrid. Then we cut to a scene of a red chestnut entering the machine/cradle. That was probably a flashback to when Bernard put Ford’s chestnut into the cradle, as opposed to Bernard’s chestnut going into the cradle. If it was Bernard going into the cradle, then it would indicated Bernard was a an Arnold hybrid which I don’t think has happened yet at that particular point in time.
