Cut to Black (Flashback)

hey guys! love the podcast and thought E4 was fantastic because it seemed to totally confirm that William is in a flashback timeline:

The episode opens with Delores in present timeline being questioned by Bernard. She explains to Bernard that her parents were killed and she ran (after she shot Rebus) In this present timeline, after she ran away from the ranch, she was brought in by Bernard for questioning and then he tells her about the maze.

CUT TO BLACK (flashback) Delores wakes up and William hands her coffee, we know this is now the flashback timeline because she would not have left Williams side since she fainted in his arms at the end of E3… she was in William’s care and Bernard would not risk sneaking her all the way back to Delos in the middle of the night for questioning (under the nose of a paying guest) not to mention how difficult it would be to get her all the way back out to that random spot in the desert beside William and Logan before morning.

Back in the present, Stubbs is told that Delores is “making a pretty big deviation from her loop” and it is unclear if she is with any guests. Cut to Delores walking alone into Las Mudas in present day. She meets Lawrence’s daughter sitting on the side of a well who says that magic word “remember” and draws the maze in the dirt… Delores then flashes back to 30 years ago… we know this is the flashback timeline because that little girl has suddenly vanished into thin air and Sheriff walks up to Delores and asks her about lost girl missing from Abernathy ranch and grabs her arm. William saves Delores and says “she is not lost, she is with me” and as they walk away, Delores looks around for the little girl who is nowhere to be found in this timeline with William.

We also see Delores experience this kind of flashback/remembering her time with William at the beginning of E3 when she opens the drawer and pulls out the gun. She looks in the mirror and hears “Do You Remember” and then Man in Black says “why don’t we reacquaint ourselves Delores, start at the beginning” but when Delores reopens the drawer the gun is gone… because she is now remembering the flashback timeline which kicks off another scene with William.

anyway thanks for all of the time and work you put into the podcast! it is almost as much fun as watching the show 🙂
