Hey shat crew, my name is Kevin Shea. Been listening since season 7 of GoT and love the content. Unfortunately this is my first time taking the time to e-mail in. I wanted to mention dr. Manhattan’s humanity. Throughout the show you’ve been mentioning how he doesn’t really have humanity or even cares about the race. Please tell me if I’m wrong on this but in preparation for the show I read the novel and this is not how I remember it. During his time on mars he DID lose all care for humanity. He saw all the beauty in the universe and couldn’t see how something so small as one species on one planet matters or is interesting at all. But after telling Lori that it doesn’t matter if humans kill themselves and wasn’t going to comply with her pleas to save humanity, he watches her fall to her knees weeping. This complicated reaction of crying over the death of millions of people she knew nothing about showed him a side of humanity that was interesting. This is what caused him to come back for the climax of the novel. So with all of that it makes sense that he would be interested in discovering love. The emotions of humans, specifically love, is a perfectly reasonable thing for home to be interested in and motivated by. However with him being who he is, he is obviously incapable of falling in love so isolating himself from his memory is the only way he could do it. P.s. I know you didn’t want him in the show, but Him coming into the story makes sense since a lot of the things in the show were only possible though him. Also he was shown in one of the trailers sooo…..
