Edgar Rice Burroughs

Guys and Gal – was great to see Edgar Rice Burroughs getting a call out on the Shat on TV podcast this week.

Burroughs was a resident of Oak Park – which is just west of Chicago City proper – the Green and Blue Lines have stops here. Burroughs lived in the village from 1914-19 and during that time he hit it big with his Tarzan books.

We are very lucky have a lot famous writers either born, raised or have (do) live here and Burroughs is often over shadowed by Ernst Hemingway, who grew up here, so it is great to see him getting some recognition!!!
