Got Predictions Going Forward

Hey Guys,

I was talking to a co-worker before episode three about predication’s before the episode. My co-worker is big on predictions. He likes to make guesses and wanted me to make guesses on who was going to die. I usually don’t like making predictions because I feel like it takes away from the enjoyment of the show and leads to over analyzing everything. People did this a lot with Westworld.

That being said, however, since my co worker asked me to come up with some predictions for episode three, I told him that I thought there was reasonable (50/50) chance the Night King was going to get killed in the battle. I thought out heroes would take some big losses, either Jon or Dany would die, but there was a reasonable chance that the Night King and his army would ultimately end up defeated. So I wasn’t that surprised when the Night King ended up getting assassinated by Arya, but clearly was wrong about either Jon or Dany getting killed.

I’m not good at predicting long term plot points, but occasionally I get in a groove with a show and I can sometimes feel the next twist before it comes. Just so guys don’t think I’m full of shit, I’m putting my future prediction on record. I feel like Cersei is somehow going to be double crossed or not end up with all the support she thinks she has. The chickens will come home to roost and she will get some dose of the double crossing she has been dishing out. One possibility is some twist with the Lannister army going forward. I think some combination of Jamie and/or Tyrion will convince either a portion or the entire Lannister army to fight for Dani against Cersei. Jamie and Tyrion are still Lannisters and I think they will have some influence. Also, the Golden Company and the Lannister army are the only two full armies remaining on the show (correct?). Team Winterfell needs to get some fresh troops from somewhere.

I’m a nerd and think it is best to make future plot predictions in terms of probabilities. It is not realistic to try predict future plot twists with 100% certainty. So I think there is a 30% to 40% chance that the Lannister army turns on Cersei. The bigger prediction being that some of Cersei’s support will turn on her at some point. Just a prediction…I have no idea what will happen.
