If Ned knew about a Targarian baby “Jon Snow” and committed to raising him in secrecy, you would think he would have known about the wedding and the feelings Lyanna had for Prince Rhaegar. He did find out that the baby was a Targaryen which wouldn’t be possible unless there was a wedding. Why would Ned know about all of this and commit to playing such a large role supporting King Robert? Why would he never tell Catelyn and contend with over a decade of resentment from his wife? Was Ned spineless? He did maintain the lie about beating Ser Arthur Dayne when we all know Howland Reed stabbed him in the back. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
