Hey guys !!

First I wanna say thank you for this awesome podcast, it makes my 1-hour commute to work soooo much better! It”s also helped me gather my own thoughts about this whiplash I feel every damn Sunday around 1030 pm.

So this is my first time writing in and I will try to keep it short sweet and to the point.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Game of Thrones series finale. ( really the whole show ) There have been some pretty shit areas that could have been better but what”s done is done. I never thought that this would be the ending that happened but it”s the ending we got and I will take it because let”s be honest, could have been worse. My bullet point that I got from this show I took at either face value or after a few minutes of thought I came to peace with.

1. Arya, no she didn’t kill Cersei, but she killed the Night King, and that”s cool enough for me, and no her being some seagoing adventurer was never part of her story but just a few moments pondering on it, where else would she go? Does she really belong in the north or Westeros? Being some badass assassin Robin Hood with a dark past? She”s definitely made it crystal clear she isn’t a lady and with her list being done. This is her lord of the rings boat ride to the Undying Lands. Fair winds Arya.

2. Sansa …. well she became queen, got the north”s freedom. She was meant for it. I still love her and have respect for her.

3. Dragon with his mama, well even though we weren’t sure what was gonna happen there when I read fire and blood, most often when a dragon loses his rider, if he doesn’t perish himself, they have flown off for quite a while if not forever, never to be seen again. Rumors come back of sightings all over their world, some just went back to Dragonstone to be later claimed by another Targaryen but regardless. Drogon picking up his mother and leaving was completely on par with her family history. And yes I cried like a baby when his reaction was so tender and grief-stricken at her death.

Now our boy Jon, sweet stupid Jon. Glad to see that the whole Aegon bullshit was completely for nothing. Thanks. Can you hear my eye roll from here? But when it comes down to face value again, he belonged in the north. The wall, wildlings … all of it. Never a true Targaryen but a true stark and man of the realm. Sucks he is gonna spend the rest of his life just being torn up about Dany probably would have more merciful just for him to die. But again, that”s not what happened. He rides off to the snowy north to hopefully find some peace.

Now as for everything else? Tyrion and the new council and Bran the Broken …. long blink followed by an even longer sigh …. well… I get it. He hasn’t don’t diddly squat for 8 seasons …. but Tyrion had a point. If someone was gonna help get shit better, and they all refuse to crack open a fucking book. He has a better chance. Now how this whole picking a new king circus is going to work? Who knows? I guess it”s no longer our problem.

This story could have gone so many different ways but I try to take a step back and be grateful for the decade of stories, badass effects, and connection we got. This show got me through a deployment ( I’m active duty navy).

Not the ending we all may have wanted but it”s the ending we got.

Thanks again for the amazing podcast, you guys are great!! Can’t wait to start watchmen with you guys!
