Hi there. Thanks for your Westworld podcast, it is surely one of the best there is. My question/theory is about Hector. It seems (and surely one or two of you guys) will agree that Maeve didn’t control him at his camp in episode 9. She wanted to recruit a willing follower by the means of persuasion, not mind control. My problem with this is why didn’t he froze, or got stucked in a loop? We’ve seen Armistice playing her role and she didn’t give a shit about Maeve with a gun being there. So why didn’t Hector acted according to the script and either die (imaginary bullet) or freeze. We’ve seen lumberjacks in the loop, just cause one of them was missing and they were unable to move with the story. Is Hector somehow special, like the man in black pointed out few episodes back in a jail? (can’t remember the exact words. too lazy to find them) If yes, how? Why did Maeve choose him? Only for his skills and nihilistic nature? Thanks again guys, have fun in future podcast, the chemistry between you is great. Cheers from Slovakia.

P.S. Sorry for poor grammar and composition of sentences. But you are clever fellows, you’ll figure it out.
