Could Humans and Hosts Procreate?

Hi guys,

Love your podcast almost as much as the Westworld series.

Had a crazy theory for you. I have little direct evidence to point to, except that I think this would be a fascinating idea for the show’s creators to explore.

We’ve seen endless examples of humans and hosts having sex. We’ve also seen at least one example of humans and hosts falling in love, Dolores and William. As a next step, could humans and hosts procreate? Before you dismiss this, how much do we really know about host anatomy? It seems like the current models are more biological than machine. Reproduction is one part of the current definition of life. So to be truly “alive”, do hosts inevitably need to reproduce?

I’m thinking of examples in nature, like horses and donkeys: different species which procreate to make a mule.

HBO loves shades of gray in their television series. Instead of a simple conflict in upcoming seasons between humans and hosts, imagine how a hybrid host/human child could shake up this dichotomy.
