Ok so Jezz sent you guys an email of this amazing theory that she had. That is 100% her theory she connected the dots and lead me down the rabbit hole. And I think she is not only one of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with, but she is also one of the most well read rounded and kind individuals that ever existed and I am fairly certain that she is a Host or Lisa Joy herself, BUT we do disagree on one plot point.

While she believes William is a host, and has been a host for a very long time, I on the other hand do not. I believe he is human, or at least that he has been human this entire time and may end up as a host or may have to confront himself as a host or whatever down the line but I do believe he is human. I also believe Ford was human.

I went with the ying-yang theory for my analysis. For me Ford’s grand plan, this entire series of events, started with Maeve and William. Maeve, a host who is thought to have no consciousness no real feelings only code, gets attacked by William who is a human, who is supposed to have a conscious and feelings. Maeve has feelings and reacts like a mother with feeling, off narrative. William has no feelings or conscious (other than to be “astonished” by the “splendor” of seeing a real reaction from a host, which he has not seen since he first was “tricked” by Dolores his first time into the park).

Balance. Good. Evil. Cycles. Loops. whatever.

But for the majority of her semi-thesis that she wrote, i agree with 90% of what she says, just have an alternate ending.

Oh Ill also throw in there that we had just breached the subject that Ford and Daddy Delos are just opposite sides of the same coin. But more on that when we at least make it to the half way mark.

[Aside: she and I dug deep, like Descartes and Schrodinger’s Cat deep, plus when you throw in her math skills on top you get to a point where you’re researching Quantum Superposition and making connections that it sort of looks like the red velvet cupcakes that the drone hosts were working on (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_superposition). So there’s obviously layers of symbolism and places that every little fraction of this last episode can spin you out on.]

Oh and I pose this question to you four (assuming Kerri is there keeping the wine away from Roger, how i remember my box-o-days):

So being almost half way through the season, and seeing as Jezz and I are debating how the entire series is going to end (and right now William being a host the whole time would DEVASTATE me) what is the one plot twist at the end of just this season, (or the entire series if you choose to be so bold) that would ruin everything for you? (as clearly I had a slight meltdown when Grace was actually Emily)

(again Jezz did 90% of the work as shes the smart Canadian Brit while I the Jersey American only asked question including “whats an emirp”)

Thanks,

Gillian
