Maeve’s Dialogue

Hello, darlings! Just some quick thoughts on this week’s episode.

The women strutting around absolutely slaying is never not going to be an orgasmic experience so as the credits rolled I well enjoyed my cigarette.

I rather enjoyed the dialogue. Maeve is a scripted host whose primary narrator was Lee Sizemore. Sure, the host can grow but they are bound by the idiosyncrasies we all grow up learning and thus she felt more like the brothel madam in this episode than she has been in a long while. In proposition, rather than Maeve irrationally turning Caleb into a host regarding the flashbacks, the showrunners are alluding to an intimacy rather than a mystery but time will tell.

William was thought to be killed off screen to almost everyone’s complaint and now it turns out that he is alive (to what should be no one’s surprise seeing as he’s been on death’s door hella plenty and recovered due to this world’s canon super medical tech that’s so good it cured the world’s diseases). I’m not going to quibble that Charlores found it gleeful to do what that man has done to so many other hosts I’ve lost count. First time we saw him he was slitting throats. Chalores monologuing to him the same way in which every host on the planet at one point in their life had to suffer is karmically appropriate. Feels right. Bazil, feel right.

Ok weird ideal, here me out I still think Christina isnt in a simulation but the real world, Manhattan rebuilt after the war ( its a landmark city which why the guys were saying “I cant believe youve not been here”) but the people in this world are this new host/human hybrid controlled by Chalores new enterprise so when the hosts emerge from Nirvana they will be enveloped in a society constructed in the heart of capitalism in which they have absolute control and in turn can control those around humans around them but with so many integrated hosts that can now prevent humans from harming the hosts.

Christina may be a copy of Charlores, and thus is now her “child” that she is trying to allow to have the life that the real Delores never got to have; I.E. Teddy.
