Dick is 100% correct with his Micheal Bay comment. I have spent every episode this season on the edge of my seat with my heart in my throat.

This episode I felt nothing. I do not think enough work was done to set up Daenerys “going off the rails” torching the entire city. There was no interaction between Daenerys and anyone in the seconds before her rampage. ( there should have been a look between her and somebody, anybody.

Cersei is not that naive and would have snuck out before it was too late and Arya would not have just said “thank you ” and walked away.

Years have been spent developing these characters. Seeing them react to the situation surrounding them in completely uncharacteristic ways was the most heartbreaking aspect of this episode.
