Nymeria-Arya Reunion
Gentlemen,
Another fantastic set of podcasts this week. I’m not sure I can add much to your already very detailed analysis.
Small stuff
Ellaria and Yarra are shown making out in the trailer for the next episode. Has Yarra been sent to Dorne, or is everyone meeting up at Dragonstone?
Sam will likely team up with Jorah, pull a prison-break, and haul ass over to Dragonstone to get dragonglass for the Greyscale and the White Walkers.
Jon, having received Sam’s tweet-via-raven, will also make his way to Dragonstone with Davos, leaving Sansa with LF in Winterfell
Somehow Gendry also ends up at Dragonstone
And Melisandre
Nymeria-Arya reunion
I get teary just thinking about this. It’s significant as the first reunion of any kind that Arya will have had. Hopefully foreshadowing more to come.
Lots of speculation that Nymeria will actually be Bran. I’m not convinced Bran will use his energy to get a message to Arya. He really needs to focus on a way to tell Jon about his parentage. That’s not really a job for a raven.
Arya-Jaime
I have a feeling that Jon will send a harshly-worded message back to Cersei in response to her polite request for him to bend the knee. Cersei may respond by sending Jaime to sort out the situation, where he will meet Arya.
I really hope that Jaime will try to keep his oath to Catelyn and get Arya and Nymeria back to Brienne and this will be the end of his redemption arc; the point where he chooses a side and goes against Cersei.
Ed Sheeran
Please back off poor Ed. I didn’t love the cameo, but understanding that it was the showrunners’ gift to Maisie Williams makes me love Ed so much more.
Tormund-Hound
They are totally meeting up at Eastwatch by the Sea. They could possibly bond over a mutual respect for Brienne, fight the good fight against the army of the dead, and then come back as White Walkers.
Arya-Jon
I also can’t wait for this reunion. I will be a blubbering mess. Arya and Jon had a special relationship. I wonder if Sansa might feel marginalized when her super-ninja-baby-sis arrives. Possibly the crack Littlefinger needs to play on Sansa’s insecurities. Gillian had some really good points about Sansa and how she has many completely different female influences. What will she become? At the moment she is emulating Cersei with her hair. As much as I love drama, the world does not need another Cersei. However, could Sansa be the one that is “younger and more beautiful” to take Cersei’s place on the throne?
Lots of love from London,
Jez

I was surprised that no one talked about Nymeria and Arya. Not only did they meet up, but Nymeria had obviously formed a new pack…can the Starks harness the power of the wild animals in their battle against the Night King?
