Plot Armor On Game Of Thrones

Guys-

I was a fan of shat on movies before I found out you guys even did podcasts about game of thrones. I was beyond excited. I’m a huge fan of the show and after rewatching the series over and over again I am in constant awe over what HBO and the creators have made. That being said I felt almost as much suspense listening to your podcast about episode 3. I always find my opinions about movies and the show to closely resemble those of Big D. If you did not touch upon the plot armor I would of been extremely disappointed. Im actually at work chopping onions listening to you FINALLY talk about it and breathing a sigh of relief. How can a fan not feel this battle was anticlimactic??? This battle with the Night King has been brewing since the opening scene of season1 episode 1 and in an hour and a half it is over and the most notable dead main character is Jorah?? The episode is beautiful. I don’t complain about the darkness because it’s utter chaos and added to the suspense and the feeling that I was in this battle. I thought it looked amazing. But this was the big bad. Sure Cersei is a dangerous bitch but this fucking guy raises the dead. I braced myself for a heartbreaking episode and was completely underwhelmed by the plot armour. On top of that the shitty strategy of lets just rush our giant moshpit of fireflies on horses into the dark…with bad decisions on the frontlines i feel like there should have been more dire consequences. The show has never hesitated to brutally and unexpectedly kill off main characters and in the biggest battle of the series and tv history all the main characters are safe and sound. I was highly disappointed. That being said you guys are awesome and look forward to listening every week.

Please keep it up. -Rob
