Hi Hosts,

In Episode 4 there are two linked scenes: the first at 17:30 where a tech reports to Stubbs that Dolores has gone off her loop and he orders Behavior to have her picked up (an attempt thwarted by William two minutes or so later), and the second at 32 minutes where a different tech reports to Stubbs that there is a request for a pyrotechnic effect (to break the Man in Black out of prison).

Stubbs has not noticeably aged between these two scenes. The first scene mentions that “the boss’ new narrative” makes it hard to know what’s going on, and the second scene leads to the Man in Black finding out about Wyatt (part of the new storyline). So while it’s possible that they aren’t happening *exactly* simultaneously, there’s no way they’re 30 years apart.

So unless I’m missing something, William cannot be the Man in Black (and neither can Logan), and both the William/Logan and the Man in Black storylines must be happening close together in time – right as Ford’s new storyline is being prepared.

So much for that theory, but keep up the good work – your podcast is definitely increasing my enjoyment of the show.

Thanks, – Carl
