Question Regarding Dr. Ford’s Age

Hello:

So the whole show seems pretty advanced tech wise so I’m assuming at the very least it has to be 50 years into the future. Think about all our knowledge of Ford and especially Young Ford in the park. We always get this 1800s early 1900s Tiny Tim-like character who raves on about the beauty of dogs. So, when the hell is this to have existed? I realize he could be projecting his character onto a different timeline rather than it being a genuine representation but they really push hard in the flashbacks to a lot longer time ago than the 2000’s. Maybe the old school steampunk retro trend hits even harder in the years to come and this is a reference to that?

Thanks, love the show. I’ve gone from hating my commute to enjoying it thoroughly. I’ve grown weary, better get back to work.
