Re: Old Bill Is Arnold
Thank you for taking the bait. This is awesome.
Recall in episode 5, Ford shares with Old Bill a “humdinger of a story” about his childhood pet greyhound. Now recall in episode 6, young host Robert kills the host version of Ford’s childhood pet because Arnold told him to do it.
I believe this is significant not just metaphorically but as a hint to the viewer as to who/what Arnold is. Onscreen, Ford has only shared this childhood story with one listener: Old Bill.
A lot of us already believe that Arnold uploaded his consciousness somehow, somewhere, someway. Arnold is either omnipresent, or he resides in Ford’s ol’ drinking buddy, Old Bill.
Plus, why would Michael Wincott be cast for a minor role?
I’m curious to know if this is already a theory of discussion and what your thoughts are behind this idea.
Cheers
