Rog, Big D, Gene –

I thoroughly enjoy Podcast. All three of you provide thoughtful analysis and add to the West World experience. I may mix up your identities, so I apologize in advance. But, please read, you may REALLY appreciate this. Or you may believe this is a Tin Foil Hat Theory. My guess is you’ll agree with it.

Quick question: do you believe there is a relationship between “Ghost” Nation and Ford’s “Ghost” family. Specifically, Ford refers to his family as “Ghost” hosts in Episode 6. Could Ford have created a group of “Ghost” hosts with the sole purpose of maintaining order within West World? Specifically, these “Ghost” hosts will destroy any hosts containing Arnold’s Rebellion / Free Will code? This group is Ghost Nation.

If I recall correctly, Big D or Gene advances the theory that certain hosts are going off loop and rebelling. These hosts identify around the “Maze” logo and are seemingly organizing to destroy West World from within. For example, Big D argued the nitroglycerin is an act of rebellion presumably initiated by Arnold’s code to destroy West World.

Just as Ford uses Bernard as a “Ghost” host to maintain control of West World from the outside (i.e., eliminate West World’s external threat), could Ghost Nation be Ford’s attempt to maintain control within West World? Again, the internal threat of West World is Arnold’s code that gives hosts the Free Will to break out of their loop by destroying West World. Specifically, Maeve has Arnold’s code and Ghost Nation is an effort to destroy her and prevent her from breaking out of her loop.

As Rog pointed out, I believe William and Dolores will stop Ghost Nation from destroying Maeve in the prairie house time line, which enables Arnold’s code to carry out its intent of free will / revolt, which we are witnessing in the most present time line.

What do you guys think? Please respond if you have a spare moment.

Again, love your podcast and looking forward to future Podcasts.
