Hi!,

Always interesting views on WW. Thanks!
These are thoughts from 3rd viewing of s2e7, pausing scenes so my interpretation or thoughts can be written here. So in E7, we open with Bernard asleep(?) and holding a photo that looks like Hale, then he caresses a face that looks like Hale. I suppose the answers to why and how are revealed somewhere in a future episode.

Why are Hale and Strand dissing Stubbs so much now? Both with the same character assassination theme, that Stubbs is somehow low IQ, limited career prospects, slow to uptake, etc. It makes me wonder why they jone on him. And Elsie’s name ever comes up in those conversations. Also strange by omission to me.

Hale was famously wrong about everything being under control in s1. I have been taking her pronouncements on a given situation with a grain or two of salt. How she perceives Bernard and his knowledge and motives in this episode vs. the real haze that he is actually experiencing is telling.

And the valley beyond that seems to be no secret to the humans, what is that exactly? Humans seem cynical, as if they understand some irony in the hosts’ quest for it.

Keep up the good work.
