The Long Night Thoughts

Hey Guys,

Here are my thoughts after my first-watch:

Arya wins for getting to kill Cersei. I know Daenerys is queen and thinks she has first rights yadda, yadda but Arya absolutely fucking wins for getting first dibs on killing anyone else on her list. Next topic.

You can’t be mad that Sam was-exactly who- he has always been!! He’s never been a hero. He admits from day One he’s a craven. Leave him alone!

I’m sorry but Jamie should have died during that battle. What are the odds that someone swinging their non-dominant sword hand made it out of that battle? I feel like he was kept alive solely to push along the plot for the Bron scenario planted in episode 1. The show is getting increasingly obvious they are playing favorites, they don’t do that very often and it is the final season so whatever… but still, it’s tacky.

I also thought it was tacky that they conveniently eliminated the Dothraki/Westeros acceptance problem via this battle but I’ll allow it ??

You all roasted me last week for wanting a back story on Ghost. It was well-deserved but what I meant was that I at least wanted Jon to throw out some sort of explanation for his whereabouts in dialogue. Do you think he (Ghost) survived the long night? He had superior survival capabilities compared to Jamie Lannister going into the battle so I’m hoping we will see him again. While they are at it, let’s just have Ghost and Nymeria reunite on the way south to the capitol. Maybe we will find out Hot Pie has taken Nymeria on as a pet.

Again, love you guys so much. Thanks for putting in the work for this podcast.

All the best,
