The Man In Black Narrative Created By Ford

Have a Theory? Share It Now!

Hey Guys,

Hey guys, glad to have you back, your podcast is a “must watch” while waiting for the new episode (Actually it’s must listen to, but that doesn’t sound right)

Today I have two theories for you, one of them is more down to earth while another one could be really crazy, but bear with me.

Before I start with those, it’s getting suspicious how many biblical references this show has, season one we had our Adams and Eves in the garden, not aware of being naked, not having knowledge, Unable to sin or tell a lie or kill, At least not until the last episode when Dolores ate the apple from the tree and committed all of them. And now, in season two we have a mix of old and the new testament, from the flood that kills all the sinners, to Dolores reviving the guy who last supper. Could this show represent the Bible of the “new people” on earth?

Now, back to the theories.

In season one, The man in black tells Lawrence or Teddy that his own world lost its meaning, The world is in chaos because no one has a purpose. From Robert, we know that humans don’t get sick and could almost live forever I presume. So the man in black was coming to the park to find a deeper meaning, to find his purpose, and that’s exactly what Robert wants to take away from him. Now, when humans apparently lost control of the narrative the hosts got to the end of their stories, and they don’t know what to do after, so the westworld is turning into chaos for them. Basically, the park is mirroring the real world where the human race reached in mortality and because of that lost its meaning of life.

My second theory is related to Delos and the weapon. You guys were saying how the show might mirror the future world, but there is a big flaw in that theory. You can come to the park, and Delos might know who you really are, but without going through your brain bit by bit they won’t know what you know in real life, imagine they clone you, your clone goes into the real world to your home, Your wife asks for some sugar, the clone would have no idea where the kitchen is, or where the sugar is in the kitchen. It just would be too hard to replace someone, without someone else noticing. What if Delos Found a way of copying all the information from your brain into the lightbulb brain, Create a copy of your body and put that Brain inside selling people immortality, Basically turning this world into the world from the Netflix show Altered Carbon. If this is correct:

  1. Delos/william built the server that is connected to everyone in the world and showed it to Dolores
  2. All the Delos board has backups of themselves, hence why the management doesn’t care of rescuing them
  3. Everyone has that communication device in there body that allows them to send information to the closest host
  4. That server is THE weapon, if you send a virus that makes the host selfdestruct and send it to everyone nearby, you essencially create a plague that kills everyone in the world, and thats exactly what Dolores wants.

If that is the case, Robert should hate what William did to this world, he would like to change it back, but he knows only William can do that. So he created the narrative to show William life has no purpose when there’s no risk to dying.

I’m not exactly a writer, so I’m very sorry if my message was hard to read/understand, I hope this message looks like anything to you, and even if I’m wrong, the idea and fun of this show Is probably to make us think about the future.

Thank you and I look forward to your next podcasts.
