Westworld Theory After Episode 5

After watching Westworld episode 5 and also listening your podcast on youtube, I came up with a theory which kinda undermine popular fan theories. Mostly the multiple timeliness.

For multiple timeliness:
In one of the episode “Little Thor” – security guy gets info about host out of it’s narrative, which is Dolores. In scene after she’s getting picked up by the sheriff, but is stopped by William. The security guy (Little Thor) is in the same timeline as Bernard and he’s in the same timeline as Old Man Ford, and Ford in episode 5 interacts with Man in Black.

Therefore William is not Man in Black. And also we’re not in separate timeline. The Lawrence argument doesn’t hold up either. After his throat is cut and his blood drained there is a next scene in which we get to Pariah where Dolores, William and Logan just arrive. Than Dolores sees herself and is picked up and talks to Ford. Next scene is a next day morning. So it’s day after Lawrence got “killed” and he just got put back on the beginning of his narrative. The hanging (when MiB meets him first time) might be just that some White Hat turned him into the justice and it’s end of one of his narrative.

Even though I’m a fan of Nolan’s writing, I don’t think, they would go multiple timeliness for a series like this. Specially when there’s more than one season. (hopefully). It would be absolute nightmare to keep a track of things if that’s the case.

On matter of Ford and Arnold:
My theory for this is, that FORD is the creator (human) and Arnold was his first creation (host), a sentient being, true A.I.. That’s why there are almost no data about Arnold, even Bernard didn’t know about him.

Arnold helped Ford to build Westworld. To create original hosts – Dolores, Teddy and others. But after he saw what this place had become for humans, how they treated hosts, it got Arnold furious and he decided to shut that place down and started The Host-Revolution aka “The Accident”. In that time in Westworld were only few hosts, among them were Dolores, Teddy, Lawrence, Maeve… All pivotal hosts attached to the maze at this moment.

Man in Black, i bet he was an engineer or “butcher” at the beginning and closely cooperated with Arnold and Ford. He probably stood by Arnold, but he changed his mind and helped Ford to destroy Arnold and stop the revolt. Now he’s trying to redeem himself.

And because Ford is GOD he sentenced Teddy and Dolores to live one day over and over were Dolores sees the dead of her family and Teddy and gets raped by the end. Ford’s punishment for the “accident”.

But jury still stands and we have 5 more episode to go.
