The White Horse

Have a Theory? Share It Now!

Hey guys,

I’m sure I’m not going to be they only listen are sending an email about the mysterious white horse that showed up at the end of episode five. At first I was in such a state of WTF that I thought “seriously, there’s just a random-ass white horse here conveniently for Arya to ride out of the destruction on?” But obviously this is GOT and the horse has to have a hidden meaning. So here are my guesses, I’d love for you all let me know which, if any, you believe could be true.

1. That’s Harry Strickland’s horse.

When the useless Golden Company was being blown up the director made sure to show Harry Strickland’s horse being injured/dying by the blow. Am I the only one here who gets so uncomfortable when a horse is hurt or killed in a battle? I would literally rather watch thousands of people die than one poor innocent horse. Anyways, they really lingered on that shot and I remember thinking it had to be for a reason. When comparing his horse to the horse at the end, it looks like the same horse but the bridle is a little different. It could just be an error by the show (see also: coffee cup). Maybe the lord of light brought the horse back to get Arya??

2. Bran warging into a horse to help Arya.

Could it be? Our little friend ventured out of the courtyard to actually HELP??? Wouldn’t mind this angle at all.

3. Arya is death.

In the book of Revelation…. ” and I looked, and behold a pale white horse, and his name that sat on it was .. Death .. and hell followed…”

I don’t think this one is true, but hey, who knows.

4. It’s just a random-ass horse.

I’m hoping this is NOT THE CASE but would we really be surprised at this point?? I am really hoping they explain how the horse showed up to Arya and they don’t just leave it as a happy coincidence.

Love the podcast and you guys, I’ve been a fan since last season and love Shat the Movies and Westworld as well. Thanks for all the work you put in, its definitely appreciated!
