There’s Only One Timeline
Hey Guys,
Loving the podcast so far! I feel the need to shit on this Two Timeline/William is the Man in Black theory once and for all though. Let me explain: In Episode 1 (The Original), Teddy and Dolores are seen riding up to the Abernathy Ranch, where they find Dolores’s parents being killed by two other hosts. If you look closely, you will notice Dolores’s father is the first, original Abernathy. The Man in Black then shows up and kills Teddy in this same scene. This original Abernathy is then decommissioned at the end of the episode.
Fast forward to Episode 3 (The Stray), and Dolores confronts the same hosts who are killing her parents again. However, this time you will notice her father is now the second Abernathy (who was the bartender in the first episode). Dolores has a flashback to her old father, the original Abernathy, indicating that this must be taking place AFTER the events in the first episode. Dolores then kills the bandit who tries to rape her and runs into Logan and William. William is certainly not the Man in Black and there is only the one timeline. What are your thoughts?
Thanks, – J.C.

I don’t believe Dolores runs straight from one scene into the next. I think we’re led to believe that’s the case, but we later will see the two scenes aren’t connected.
As Big D hypothesizes, Dolores could still be under park control. She could be thinking she’s becoming sentient but actually just be a tool used to steer William.
