Thoughts On Ford’s Potential Uploading

Hi guys, late entry for the Telegraph here….

So the implication of the reveal at end is that Ford has been uploaded to the Cradle. I assume Bernard used the red ball thing for this. I think that Ford has ironed out the glitches with the problems the DDB had and has it functioning fine.

However as you guys have pointed out if you copy a brain state yes you do create a copy which is essentially you but it is a different you. If you continue living the two “you’s” diverge and become separate entities. The Prime You upon death dies for real, the copied you lives on …..great for him, sucks for you.

However…..if you could live stream your conciousness with an instruction not to activate until Prime You’s death then it would appear to all intents and purposes be a transference of conciousness as opposed to just a copy. I think this is what Ford did and why he had Dolores kill him.

I also suspect the body Ford was printing in season 1 when he had Theresa dispatched was a new body for himself.
