Total tinfoil theory here… Perhaps rohoboham is and has long replaced Serac and is using his digital form (which is why he always appears as a simulation/holograph) to protect itself. It is disguising itself as Serac to take control of delos, destroy the other hosts and to convince Maeve to fight off Delores in order to save itself. Rohoboham sees and predicts the outcome these divergences Delores is causing to its “perfect world” and is working to eliminate the threat. Maybe that’s why Serac’s story seems so cornerstoney?
