Westworld 207 Les Ecorches

Hey Everyone,

Loved the episode, but before I say anything else, can this QA storyline/arc be done with? I overheard a comment about how these guys are the rejects from he Imperial Stormtrooper tryouts and I think it fits perfectly. Every QA scene starts to feel like an 80’s B-action film with how disposable and useless they are. It is really the only flaw in the show I have though, which is a good thing.

Anyways, are we to assume that the Bernard being interrogated by Hale is the same one we saw presumably moments before walking the halls with Elsie? You overhear the shootout with QA happening while Bernard is being controlled/influenced by Ford so you know that the period of time between Bernard shooting the QA guy at the behest of Ford and the time he is being waterboarded are very close.

It seems obvious that the Bernard being tortured is the Bernard being controlled by Ford too and that Ford is trying to lure them all into a trap by telling them the location, but is there a chance that we are dealing with two different Bernards in the same timeline? One, from the outside, seems composed since Ford is controlling him, while the other feels sheepish. Unless this is what Ford is purposefully trying to portray to fool them, it seems a little odd.
