Hello,

A bit of a timeline rant…..

I think this season the writers are going to remove the villain we initially see in Serac and he is going to become the human face fighting for humanity’s last chance to stop Dolores. I think it’s important to note a timeline development that I believed I picked up on. When we see Bernard walking by the hotel pool to go meet Ashley we notice rockets launching which is shortly followed by a scene in which Serac and Maeve are talking. In that subsequent scene we see Serac as a child being guided to safety by men in radiation suits after what appears to be a nuclear attack on Paris. This right after he said he knows what it’s like to see everything disappear in an instant. I believe that could mean that the Dolores/Caleb and Bernard/Ashley timeline predates the timeline that Maeve and Serac are in which I’m guessing based on his appearance is ~30 years apart.

In short I think Serac may be one of the last humans left to lead an effort to stop Dolores after she is leading a successful attack on humanity. Her goal being to repopulate the planet with hosts that she recreates in the factory as Musashi who would then be well ahead of the Dolores/Caleb timeframe. I think this is why Musashi Dolores told Maeve that she is creating a place for her (and all hosts). She wants to wipe out humans and replace the earth with a new world. An AI world. This is why Serac tells Maeve its a world she can’t live in. He knows the end result.

Not sure if that changes much in your eyes and if it opens the door for ‘the reveal’ to open up new dynamics. Maybe Musashi Dolores is created after one of the earlier Dolores balls and host bodies meets an untimely end and must be recreated later on. Tinfoily I know..

The one thing I can’t answer is why when Serac shows Maeve Bernard’s house he says “a divergence was detected here three months earlier”. Unless that was a simulation of sorts for Maeve it really throws a wrench in my theory. I guess maybe when Dolores took over she was able to hide the evidence of their divergence for a long time and it was only discovered later on. Maybe Maeve is just in a simulation and they are using her as a code breaker of sorts to try and stop Dolores with knowledge they can take outside of the simulation.

I’ll stop there. Love the podcast and I love saying “Dolores Prime”. Sorry if this is too long and thanks for reading.
