I Still Say Westworld Is a Simulation
Despite overwhelming voices of dissent, I cling to the idea that the entire park may be a simulation.
What about THIS early evidence? Episode 2, Chestnut, the first time we see ever see William’s character, he’s asleep. On the train. Into Westworld. And then he wakes up. “Hosts awakening” is used at the beginning of almost every episode, as well as having figurative meaning.
And BEFORE he wakes up we get this weird “William’s sleeping reflection” shot. Then the shot pans over to William’s sleeping face.
The simulation explanation ties in well with the 28 day limit for park guests. Longest that’s healthy for “body stasis?”
Here’s a lovely anime example (title: Sword Art Online. Wtf, right?) depicting Nerve-Gear as an affordable VR hardware. So Westworld would be like this, but times a million.
This cartoon is about an evil mastermind who creates a virtual game world so he can “control the fate of a world of [his] design.”
The only way to escape the game: Players must ascend (not descend like WW *headquarters) and clear 100 floors.
If players die in the game, they die in real life.
Tinfoil!
Wishing you peace & love, and 4 more seasons of westworld.
