Westworld: The Chinese Voice
In case you didn’t notice, when Maeve rides
the escalator down to the train in episode
10, the voices on the public address system
alternate between English and Chinese
(assuming my poorly trained ear for Asian
languages isn’t mistaken).
It may be a hint that SW stands for SinoWorld
rather than SamuraiWorld (which I suggested
in a previous email).
It may also be a hint that the Mainland
Infiltration portion of Maeve’s “Escape”
narrative refers to infiltration of Mainland
China.
Have fun,
Steve Eppley
