Dear ShatOnTv Team,

I hope you are doing well today. My name is Nick from New York and I am writing to talk about Man in Black and Delos.

I am a huge fan of your Westworld Podcast and am grateful for the work all of you put into this project.

I would like to talk about MiB and Delos. First, MiB:

It is important to re-watch the MiB monologue at the end of Episode 8 and the Episode 5 confrontation between Ford and MiB. In the monologue with Teddy, MiB states that he ‘created’ the narrative of Maeve and her daughter as homesteaders to test his emotions.

This is confirmed in Episode 5 during the conversation between Ford and MiB. Teddy describes that their objective is to find ‘A man named Wyatt (who) killed a homesteader and her daughter.’ Then, Ford says, ‘I don’t recall that last part’, to which MiB responds, ‘I thought this story needed a real villain, hence my humble contribution.’

Guys, not only is MiB a VIP in the park, he is creating storylines!

He created the homesteader story line to test his emotions and feelings. He says this directly to Teddy.

Now, since he killed Maeve and her daughter, he is looking for ‘Wyatt’ which is really the Maze (I believe that Dolores could be Wyatt). He is looking for that ‘Miracle’ of awareness which he first saw in Maeve.

To me, this changes everything because it shows that the rivalry between Ford and MiB is about more than just the Maze. Clearly, MiB doesn’t respect Ford and believes the park can do without him.

I believe that MiB is on the board, is a silent partner in the park, and could possibly be the head of Delos itself.

This feeds into my next theory about Delos. If MiB is head of Delos, then he would also want to ‘free’ the hosts to attack humans. I believe Delos wants to do this. Read below.

(Disclaimer: I believe William/MiB theory; I believe in the quadruple timeline theory: Dolores with Arnold/Bernard, Dolores/William, Maeve/MiB, MiB/Maze (Present Day.))

With respect to Delos:
There are so many possibilities, here is one. First, we need to posit what the intentions of Delos are. I believe that Delos is a corporation aimed at unlocking hosts to kill humans at the command of Delos executives. Delos is a corporation up to no good. We know that they only care about developing hosts, not the park itself. We have to assume that any Android population is going to be used for controlling humans.

That means Delos still needs Ford to complete something. Delos wants both things:
1) the hosts to be able to kill
and
2) humans to be able to control them.

I, therefore, believe that this experiment is about to go horribly wrong. We can assume that Maeve is not going to play ball with any of this, she wants out and is simply taking the steps to do this.

I agree with the cold storage theory developed at the end if the podcast published on Nov. 22nd. The only ‘army’ she would have access to is the cold storage folks. Her going crazy is simply a process to get access to this army.

That’s it for now. Thank you again for the podcast. I love that you have the original Abernathy introducing the show!

Yours,

Nick D.
