The podcast keeps getting better and better, as does Westworld.

As to Maeve, I do not think that she is a tool of Dr. Ford. Bernard has a specific purpose – to pose as a human in order to keep control over his kingdom. What does Maeve’s consciousness gain Dr. Ford? She feels and realizes her existence, which is counter to Ford’s belief that the hosts are truly free and spared of our troubles.

Question on the timelines, when is Dolores? Bare with me here. We may see her in three to four different timelines.

  • Timeline A – Dolores in the frontier town with the chapel. (What we assume is the past, the Arnold era)
  • Timeline B – Dolores riding into William and Logan’s camp, going to Pariah with them, painting in the train following sexy time with William. (What we assume is the immediate post-Arnold era)
  • Timeline C – Dolores in the first couple episodes, interacting with Teddy, finding her family butchered and being dragged to the barn by the Man in Black. (What we assume is the present day)
  • Timeline D – Dolores in the Day of the Dead parade in Pariah, riding the train by herself, standing over the casket by herself.

If this timeline breakdown is correct, or even somewhat right, where is Dolores in the Man in Black timeline? We assume he did something to her in the barn. If he did something to waken her, why wouldn’t he follow her or take her on his journey, if she is integral to finding the maze? I assume one possibility is Timeline D follows or is the next steps in Timeline C. We do see Dolores see the future in one of the early episodes.

Sorry for any confusion but I would welcome your thoughts! – Travis Morgantown, WV
