Why Did Cal Take Angela’s Surname

This may be unimportant to the overall story, but what are your guys’ thoughts on why Dr Manhattan’s human form’s last name changed from Calvin Jelani to Calvin Abar? I thought the point of taking on the form of one of those dead guys was because they already had all the documentation needed to be a live in society: birth certificate, social security number, etc.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening to your podcast every week. Thanks so much for all the work you guys put into it.
