William’s Character Arc

Hey Guys,

I think we’ve been forgetting the big picture of William’s character arc. Especially since the most recent episode, it’s getting more and more clear that William’s story is about redemption. He even said that he’s on his way to confront his biggest mistake. When he says that, I think he’s talking about shutting down the secret Jim Delos project, but I don’t think you can have a satisfying redemption arc without also dealing with his dead wife.

I think the hybrid control unit that Ford printed is of William’s wife. If you’re the head of an eternal life project, you would definitely get your family in on it, and I think Ford’s plan was to resurrect William’s wife to show him the grotesque nature of the project and get him to shut it down. William is going to get to the lab, find his wife there, get his forgiveness, and claim his redemption by burning it to the ground with himself inside.
