Wyverns?

Hey Guys,

Been listening to your podcast since the beginning of this last season (thanks to me not really ever doing the whole podcast thing) and I have thoroughly enjoyed what you”ve had to say. I”ve even had people try to sway me to other shows, but I think you guys are by far the best to listen to.

Anyway, on with my thoughts. After watching the final episode and sitting there frozen thinking “that”s it? That”s how it ended?”, I looked at my husband and we both immediately started whining about how it could have been so much better. Reality check, we don’t even know how we wanted it to end. We stuttered through a conversation about what they could have done and honestly none of our thoughts were all that great. The episode was awesome up to the point of the iron throne being burned, but it just fizzled and died so quickly after that. I think maybe seeing Jon Snow being captured, or some kind of action beyond that would have been appreciated. Just saying, I don’t think any ending would have been liked. Not sure that it”s even possible.

I”d also like to point out that Tyrion says “And who has a better story than Bran the Broken?” Um, hello! Arya the shapeshifter/Night King killer doesn’t have a better story? I think they really just needed Arya to leave so that she can be the spin-off they need to keep this movement going.

I feel like I’m rambling, but I’m going to ask one last thing. Correct me if you”ve already discussed this in previous episodes, but Daenerys isn’t the Mother of Dragons, she”s the mother of Wyverns. Dragons have 4 legs, wyverns have 2 with their wings serving as their front legs. I learned that tonight through the Twitter storm that commenced after the episode and now I’m irritated that if this is true (which Wikipedia confirmed), that was such a HUGE mistake this entire time. #motherofwyverns

Anyway, off to bed so I can probably lay there thinking of better endings. Best of luck with your podcast going forward!

Samantha B.
