Hi Guys,

Thanks for the podcast. I enjoy listening to all the different segments each week and appreciate the time you take to break things down! I wanted to mention something that may be of interest.

Last week, Thandie Newton was interviewed on another podcast I listen to; Off Camera with Sam Jones. Fans of Ms. Newton may find the entire interview interesting as she does talk about her career and life as well as Westworld, offering some of her own insights.

More specifically, however, she says something during the interview that caught my attention. When asked about how she first approached the role of Maeve, she says, “Looking at artificial intelligence and where it is right now, I knew that they wanted to use the most up to date research and technology and take that further, so trying to imagine where that could be in 80 years…”

I believe she’s telling us that the show runners imagine Westworld to be taking place in approximately 2100. I know there have been questions about how far in the future Westworld is, and I think that may be the answer.
