Hi everyone! I am new to the podcast (only started at season 3) and find your intricate explanations and theories so refreshing. I think we all need some intellectual discussions as distractions from the current world events and truly thank you all for your weekly contributions.

As for Barnold’s pearl, season 2 established that Dolores had a hand in creating Bernard in the park through fidelity testing. When Halores (charolette hale and dolores) leaves the park with the 5 black pearls, I guess everyone assumed that one of those black pearls is Bernard. Don’t forget that Dolores in the park transmitted the human data to a location that only she knows, so it stands to reason that when Halores leaves the park, she accesses with her encryption key the Arnold code from that location to make Barnold (hence the red and black pearl). Now, it could be a continuity error from the show’s creators, but if we are scrutinizing every detail, I think she downloaded Arnold’s data out of the park and created Barnold as her adversary (perhaps even cornerstone?), indicating that she could start making other human/host hybrids when killing off the human counterparts. Could all be a tinfoil theory, but I wanted to contribute to the realm of possibilities since this seemed like a very plausible one?!?!? Stay healthy and please wash hands!
