Game of thrones alternate endings

Hey Gene and Big D,

Love the podcast and even though this season has been highly disappointing IMO i really enjoy listening to your podcast. If I could change anything about the finale it would have been the final scene between Jon and Dany. They could have made this scene so much cooler going either two ways.

One would be utilizing Bran the boring, he warged what once this entire season? He could have warged into Drogon and killed Dany thus saving Jon from having to kill his queen/aunt/lover etc. Bran has a major super power that just was not utilized and it would have made so much more sense for him to have taken this action to either help Jon, the rightful heir to become king or for Jon to say he doesn’t want it and leading for Bran to become king. For a show that loves plot twists what could be more epic than for Bran to warg into the most powerful creature in Westeros and end the mad queen?

Option 2: the Mad Queen is still mad. When Dany and Jon embrace suddenly Dany is no longer mad queen, she has achieved her life’s goal and is back to herself for lack of a better term. I find this extremely hard to believe she just murdered an entire city and is angry at Jon for rejecting her, plus he is the rightful heir to the throne. Now after all the times she could have suggested marriage they can suddenly rule together??? No way, when they go for the embrace he stabs her but when it happened she could just have easily stabbed him which makes sense as she is eliminating her main threat which we know she would do as she killed everyone in Kings Landing supporting Lannister’s. If the show writers had Dany and Jon both stab each other, Jon for duty to the people and Dany to continue her mad queen ways plus make sure there is no threat the story of ice and fire, Jon and dany would truly have been wrapped up. With either of these two endings I would have been much more content as the ending just left so many more questions as you guys pointed out… why didn’t they show Jon being taken by unsullied and are we really supposed to believe Grey Worm wouldn’t have killed him?

Anyway thanks for all your time and hard work on the podcast. I listen to you each week on my drive to work and will miss your takes on the show while I head down the turnpike. Erik
