MIB printed Teddy
I’ve got it!
I don’t check theories on reddit/other forums (fora??) so I’m hoping I’m the first to come to this conclusion.
We’ve just seen Host MIB start to question his reality, with the provocative help of Human MIB.
So I think Host MIB now realises he needs original Delores to overcome the tyrannical Hale.
The solution? He finds a way to resurrect (or I guess 3D print a new version of) Teddy. This provides the proper ‘awakening’ moment. MIB might even be in Teddy’s body somehow!
The overall story arc here must be one or both of (a) redemption of a previously ‘bad guy/gal’ character and/or (b) an ultimate battle of a (main) character against themselves.
Both options are still on the cards here: MIB still has a chance to turn against his dictator leader (Hale) – either as host, human or both; Hale, as a version of Delores, may equally come up against another version of herself in Christina.
I’m aware that the showrunners have said that Christina is a human and I don’t think it’s much of a stretch now to believe that we see her as Delores, but actually she is another human who has invoked aspects of Delores’ mindball somehow.
I’m not sure how Host Caleb, Maeve and everyone else are going to fit into this, but it feels like I’m really on to something here. And trust me, I’m literally always wrong about these things.
Thanks for the podcasts, you folks are amazing and make the whole experience of Westworld so much better.
