R.I.P. Bernard (Maybe Not?) – Question From Episode 9

Do you think that Bernard is gone forever?

He is one of my favorite characters and I am praying that the show has not pulled a ‘game of thrones’ and got rid of a great character. I am hoping that Bernard did not really kill himself but even if he did I still think he could come back. Let me explain….. In the scene with Bernard, Dr. Ford and Clementine, the gun looks fake (like a prop gun) and this has lead me to theorise that Bernard may never have intended to kill Dr. Ford but Ford didn’t realise that the gun was a fake with blanks and Bernard goes along with the narrative of “killing” himself so Ford would think he was out of the way. If I am wrong and Bernard did kill himself then there is still a chance that he will pop back up in a future episode.

How?….. well, this scene also explains the scene where Dolores puts the gun to her head. Although we don’t see her pull the trigger, I theorise that she was forced to kill herself by Dr. Ford after she glitches out and kills Arnold and if this is true, this would mean that she was put back together even after shooting herself in the head so maybe Maeve will come upon Bernard’s body and repair him with the help of Felix and Sylvester so he can join her army. I say this whilst proudly placing a tin foil hat upon my head.
