Hi,

Just needed to take a moment and thank you for all the long hours you put into your pods. I have been a fan for several years, but mostly as a silent listener.

Listening to Westworld Deep Dive 306 Decoherence, I was gobsmacked when Ashley S said:

“And it may have been that William always wanted that white hat, but like his boyhood self this black hat was always calling and it was just beyond the brim of that white hat from the very start and I don’t know if there was anything other than a black hat that was eventually going to fall on his head.”

…just beyond the brim…only a black hat was eventually going to fall on his head… Those are artful, insightful turns of phrase.

Gene: in one of the Watchmen pods re: Dr Manhattan you said, “Death is the illusion on non-existence created by the misperception that time must move forward.” I know you said it b/c I wrote it down and have thought on it since.

I live in Phoenix and have met Roger Roper and he’s a lot of fun, but I don’t have a quote from him–but Go Gators!

Also, Big D, My Man. I am 49 and never served but Dad was career Navy and Granddad was a TBF, later TBM torpedo bomber flying off of CVE 93 Makin Island in the Pacific Theater. I appreciate your Army service, but c’mon, the Army?!? Go Navy! On a different note, my inclination to serve took me on a related but civilian route and I am a Registered Nurse. The joke is, when people ask me what I do, I say “well, I am a registered”–pause for effect–“nurse”

It’s possible that joke is more funny if delivered in person. *Good Evening*

Guys, thank you all again. You have done, and continue to do, Strong Work. Not to be completely mercenary, but I sent $50 via PayPal. I know I should have sent more, but believe it or not my hours have been cut because no one is allowed to do elective cases.

Wishing you all all the best, Andy Ege
