Westworld – Ford and Teddy

Hey guys,

First, let me say that I’m loving the podcast. Just the right balance of entertainment, discourse, and crazy.

I’m going back and listening to back episodes of the podcast (so, forgive me if I’m about to bring up something you guys have discussed already), and also doing a 2nd watch through of the show already.

When I got to episode 5 after watching episode 8 something stood out to me about Ford’s meeting with the MIB:

When Ford gets up to leave, he turns to Teddy and says, “Mr. Flood, we must look back and smile at perils past, mustn’t we?”

Then, as we all know now, just a few episodes later, Teddy starts remembering previous loops. Is it possible that Ford already knows the ins and outs of what can happen when hosts remember previous loops, and he’s using it to achieve whatever his ends are?

(Also, as a side note, the gun that Dolores dug up is not the same gun that the MIB uses. Hers doesn’t have the 2nd firing barrel. I don’t know enough about guns to know what model that is, but it’s clear that that’s just a normal ejector rod like many revolvers have)
