Gents,
I’ve loved the podcasts and thank you, although I’m not sure I will be as involved with the next season. I may try to just watch and not delve into the theories. This was the first show that I didn’t just watch and I am torn. I had a lot of fun thinking about the theories and had fun being right some of the time. However, I can’t help but think that I missed out on some of the joy of surprise by going to the internet and listening to you guys. But that is a whole other conversation.

I think Westworld is located on another planet. Here is why: in in one of the episodes, I think it’s Selvester when speaking to Maeve says something like “it’s not like running an orbital launch facility” now that is a weird thing to say as an off-hand comparison, unless orbital launch facilities are commonplace and therefore an appropriate comparison of something that would be used in everyday speech. wasn’t it another planet in the movie?
could the park be under the dome of a another world where the sky and weather is a projection? the many references to how hard it would be to escape. It seems like if it was just Earth, it would be hard to escape because of the distance, but how much harder would it be if it is another planet. the references to cycling in and out for work almost like a tour of duty. the spotty connection to family on the video phone. I don’t think with the technological improvements that are present in this world, that the spotty connection would be chalked up to poor Wi-Fi or cellular signal. But it makes perfect sense though if you’re actually talking planet to planet

On a separate note, in Greek mythology, Delos was the birthplace of Appollo and Artemis. In other words the birthplace of gods. That seems an appropriate name for the place Ford works.

Thanks again for the podcasts. It has really been fun!
