Westworld/Person of Interest Theory

Hello Shat team,

I’m sure you’re probably going to get a ton of emails about this, but holy crap I could not contain my excitement when I saw the couple frames of Enrico Colantoni in tonight’s episode. I think before you guys had mentioned you haven’t watched Person of Interest before, Jonah’s TV show before Westworld which dealt with many similar topics of AI (I recommend watching it, it’s a network TV show so not as high quality but definitely worth watching IMO)

I have had a fan theory in my head that I didn’t give too much seriousness until now: that Person of Interest is a prequel to Westworld. Enrico played a major recurring role in Person of Interest, where in simplest terms, two super AIs were battling over which one would control humanity. I had always wondered what if one of the AI was a precursor or the base code for Rehoboam. Especially because one of the machines had a Biblical name as well, Samaritan.

This isn’t a fully formed theory or anything, I would have to think about it more, but it excites me to think that these two great Jonah Nolan shows could be related. Also, it would be awesome to see anyone from the Person of Interest cast have a cameo or something in Westworld, especially Michael Emerson since he was the inventor of the competing AI (simply called the Machine).
