Westworld S03E05 “Genre” Um… Actually
Sup, shat crew!
Rob again from Germany. I left a voicemail already, but here’s a different topic that’s hard to convey over the phone. When HBO depicted Paris blowing up you said (paraphrasing) “this is not what Paris looks like” and I thought the same thing while watching the episode. That’s some weird ass countryside close to a massive metropolitan area and it’s not what it would look like.
Um, actually: this might be pretty accurate! I live in the center of Berlin and today after work, I stepped on my bike and kept cycling until I reached the city limits (which sure has nothing to do with me getting cabin fever due to the 5th week of self-isolation), and as I crossed the city limit and turned around, I was pretty surprised to see this (see attachment).
So yeh, Berlin is not as big as Paris, but it’s still somewhat comparable. I took the photo 15 kilometers (or 9.3 miles) away from the city centre. The safe distance to be out of the blast radius of a nuke is far greater than that (50% chance to die from the blast if you’re within 8 miles)… so the brothers must have been even further away.
Love the podcast, love you guys, keep up the great work!
Cheers,
Rob
PS: Here’s the coordinates from where I took that picture, so you can see it in relation to the city: https://www.google.com/maps/@52.6623098,13.4505197,12.88z
PS PS: Please someone from Paris do a similar experiment so we have confirmation 😀
